2D-3D Woven Engineered Outer Surface and Internal Structural Forms

Date: 5th February 2018

Dr Lindsey Waterton Taylor, Lecturer in Weaving Technologies and Design at Leeds University, discusses the design and production of 2D-3D woven engineered outer surface and internal structural forms.

About Dr Lindsey Waterton Taylor

Dr Taylor is an expert in 3D woven structures and part of the team establishing a new 3D Weaving Innovation Centre at the University of Leeds.

This presentation will provide insight on the design and production of 2D-3D woven engineered outer surface and internal structural forms.

Combining internal yarn-matter support networks to an integral decorative static and/or kinetic outer shell permits the amalgamation of performance and aesthetics within 2D-three dimensional (3D) woven forms.

Members, company employees, students of the University of Huddersfield and members of The Bradford Textile Society are welcome. If you intend to attend, please let our secretary know in advance.
